EA’s UFC 4 is almost set to drop in a busy month for gamers. To round out July, they’ve just released the first trailer for a revamped Career Mode.
Among the changes include the introduction of your new coach – Coach Davis – who guides you through the amateur ranks all the way to the big leagues.
Fighter Evolution is a new feature that tailors and develops your Career Mode fighter based on the disciplines you choose to train with and fight with. As you fight you earn Evolution points, then cash those in for upgrades or recovery items to prolong your stint in the cage.
We get a look at the new relationship system that builds up friendships and rivalries, along with links with fans, promoters and more. You can pick sparring partners, but we’re warned not to go knocking out your friends in camp unless you want to spark a darker situation.
There’s going to be a lot of face / heel type careers.
World Fighter Alliance? Check.
Dana White’s contender series? Check.
Get cut from the UFC? No problem, if you don’t mind ducking into the WFA.
It’s pretty promising…
