As part of the ongoing development of KilkennyMusic.com, I’m looking to start a range of Podcasts over the summer months with various acts and bands that will be passing through the doors and the site. Should be a fun experiment for myself and hopefully bring some more attention to both the site itself, raise awareness of the name – and of course the bands involved!
Anyway, I came across some Podcast Promotion Tips via Small Business Brief which some people might find interesting. Its still all new to me so I do anyway….

You and me both… so many ideas buzzing around for that place but I’ve had one or two interviews already with acts and I think the podcasts would go down a treat. That and the fact that now I’ve the grant funding for KKM we can launch a new line of showcase gigs and perhaps podcast these after the date. If they’ll help attract more people to the gigs, or at least expose the bands to a greater audience then I’m all for it!
Best of luck with it Ken. I’m actually thinking of starting an entrepreneurship podcast but I’ve no experience with sound production so its a slow learning process. All tips are welcome…

I tipped Michele towards buying a Shure SM58 vocal mic which he picked up on eBay afaik… that’d be a good place to start. Any questions I’m always open! Looking forward to your own one should you get it up off the ground!
Top tip: emerging Irish artists should consider the podsafe music network for easy exposure.
